Hidalgo means “gentleman” in Spanish. This grand Bowie knife was inspired by a civil war era Spanish influenced Bowie knife. The 10.5” blade was forged to shape from W-2 high-carbon steel. I used a cloying process to create a dramatic “hamon”. The guard , main spacer and frame are stainless steel, brass accent spacers and pins help finish out this complicated handle bearing scales of a beautiful figured Koa wood. This knife come in at just under 16” in total length and 21oz.
